DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?

We strongly recommend travel insurance for all travel.  A Travel Insurance policy protects you in a number of ways, but there are two major reasons to consider the plans we offer.  Travel Insurance protects you from cancellation charges should you be unable to travel due to an emergency or death in the family.  It also offers medical coverage to protect you in international waters and foreign destinations- where many health care plans lack coverage.  You wouldn't go without health coverage at home, why risk it in another country?  Some suppliers we work with require travel insurance plans.  

WHAT DOES IT COST TO USE YOUR SERVICE?

Individual Reservations:  AMS Travel Sales charges a flat $50 Trip Management fee per person.  This fee covers product research, consultation, booking, name and date changes (when permitted by the supplier) shipping of travel documents and insurance policies. The fee is payable by credit card or debit card only.   A Trip is defined as the main travel element (tour, cruise, etc) plus the ancillary reservations- additional hotel nights, airfare, transportation, etc.​

Group Reservations (8 or more rooms):  Because of the substantial time and effort required to successfully manage a group, AMS Travel Sales charges an additional nonrefundable $200 Group Management Fee which includes the above services as well as custom group promotional publications, coordination for special events, transportation, and private tours.​

Our Trip Management Fees are Non-Refundable and Non-Negotiable.​

"Wait a second, I thought you were paid by the suppliers?"  Yes, that's true, to an extent.  Travel agents make commission from our sales.  However, when we also charge for our service, we are not limiting ourselves to selling only the products which pay us best. That way we aren't tempted to just sell you the product that works best for our bottom line.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TRIP IS RIGHT FOR ME?

With an overabundance of travel product information available to the consumer, you may very well be overwhelmed.  You may not be able to discern what travel product is best for you.  Dozens of cruise lines, resorts, tour companies compete for your attention with multi-million dollar marketing budgets.  Their brochures make every inch of their products seem amazing.  How can you possibly sift through the propaganda to learn the truth?  That's where the service of a seasoned Travel Professional come to play. It is our business to know and understand the differences between the products.  During the booking process, we will learn about you and your expectations for your trip.  Armed with knowledge of products, destinations and our clients- we strive to match the right product with the right person.
